Duties include but are not limited to:

• Laying out and shooting studs, gluing and placing tiles, gluing anti-sweat and gluing hardboard
• Interpreting blueprints, technical manuals and shipyard procedures
• Surface preparation and painting functions which involve solvent washing, sanding and/or grit blasting.
• Painting with water based enamel and epoxy-polyamide coatings is accomplished by brush, roller, airless spray and other specialized equipment
• Regular use of shop equipment including table saws, drill presses, routers, sandblast equipment and air and electric hand held tools

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• 1 plus years of experience in at least one of the following; paint, construction, carpentry, auto body, Sheetrock or related trade experience or training 
• Must be available to work all shifts
• Ability to work at heights, confined spaces and extreme temperature conditions as required
• Must possess their own basic hand tools

Preferred:     

• Sound dampening or sound proofing experience 
• Experience applying coatings via brush, roller, conventional sprayers & airless sprayers
• Additional preference given for Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs  
• Knowledge of use of Graco or equivalent painting tools & equipment helpful
• Ability to read blueprints
• Military/Navy experience 

• Must have basic communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Working in a collaborative and team environment and meet organizational goals
