Department 425, Electrical Systems Software Engineering, Cybersecurity and Network Administration and Support group, is seeking a Systems Network Administrator Engineer. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop, enforce, and manage both unclassified and classified information systems and collaborate with systems and hardware engineers to resolve system defects.

Specific responsibilities within this role include:
- Design, implementation and maintenance of sensitive unclassified and classified computing systems in accordance with appropriate Naval Reactors and DCSA security controls
- Support of custom software applications for fleet prototypic maintenance and troubleshooting laptops for instrumentation and control equipment
- Support remote and on-site troubleshooting of software and firmware of control systems and networking interfaces
- Provide for critical incident response & problem management including root cause of system problems, such as configuration issues resulting in operational performance degradation or system outages, recommendations to the customer with information and advice on the necessary correction actions and/or interim workarounds.
- Provide onsite architectural and design, support, development, and administration.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms, such as VMware vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization, ESXi
- Be able to configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems and install/load operating systems software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Provide technical support to end-user issues regarding desktop problems and/or server administration.
- Understanding of network security architecture concepts and network design processes including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth)
