Job Description

The primary duties of this position entail:

  • Instructing multiple welding related classroom courses.
  • Directing multiple, hands on welding training using multiple materials.
  • GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW.
  • Maintain a Culture of Safety.
  • Supporting various lesson plan updates and related activities.
  • Assessing student performance and identifying noncompliance to policies, procedures and technique sheets.
  • Supporting special training projects as required.
  • Support On the Job Training (OJT) activities.
  • Available for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3 years welding experience
  • 2 years pipe welding experience
  • High School Diploma / GED 
  • Must have a strong history of procedural compliance and safe work practices.
  • Must be able to speak in front of large groups and maintain control of a classroom.
  • Must be able to assign students training tasks and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to evaluate student progress and work with Operations management.
  • Must be able to easily adapt to changing responsibilities, act on own initiative, possess strong communication skills and be a team player.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Mechanized welding.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Prior Classroom/OJT instructing experience
