Department 375 is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill a new position within the Propulsion Plant and Ship’s Systems Directorate to support design and development of VIRGINIA Class, COLUMBIA Class and next generation submarines. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the directorate’s technical product development processes, standards, procedures, and software tools. The successful candidate must have a good foundation and strong desire to become an expert in the end-to-end process as it relates to the development and implementation of the directorate’s technical products, and the software tools used to create them.

This includes developing requirements for digital enterprise initiatives, leading interdisciplinary teams to promote problem resolution, and developing and executing action plans involving teams of engineers, designers, and technical support personnel. This will require an in-depth understanding of model based disclosure development, change management processes, Teamcenter processes, and digital environment requirements. The candidate will be required to assist in the resolution of both ongoing and emergent issues using independent judgement and technical perspective for new processes and products. This position is a unique opportunity for a candidate seeking to advance their technical and project management experience while delivering improvements to directorate capabilities.
