The recently-announced New Technologies and Materials Development team within the Submarine Materials Engineering directorate is seeking four high performing individuals to fill Program Representative positions for additive manufacturing, welding, robotics, and non-destructive testing. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the rapid identification, development, implementation and sustainment of new, emerging, high visibility technologies in their respective area to accelerate construction, improve quality, and reduce cost to all submarine programs at Electric Boat. They will also collaborate with subject matter experts in the directorate and coordinate with the key stakeholders. Additionally, these areas of technology deployment have had high degrees of integration with Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS), Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), and multiple suppliers through the Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) program office.

The successful candidates will have strong communication, leadership, and organization skills. They must be willing to understand and collaborate with various areas across the company including contracts, purchasing, and programmatic aspects. Moreover, they must be comfortable with presenting technical and non-technical information to EB and NAVSEA senior leadership.
Preference for which of the areas (additive manufacturing, welding, robotics, or NDT) the candidate wishes to work with will be discussed at the interview. This position may require occasional travel to vendors and/or conventions as appropriate.
