This position requires an engineer to provide support to the D442 led Submarine Sail Sizing and Shaping Studies and Off-Board Sensors Technology projects. These projects are supporting future attack submarine research and development and concept formulation efforts.

Specific efforts and responsibilities will include:

• Electronic Systems, Communications and Situational Awareness Sensor technology investigations and assessments
• Development of notional system end-to-end circuit diagrams
• Space, Weight and Power (SWaP) assessments
• Participate in in Navy and Electric Boat chaired working groups
• Lead side studies as required
• Some travel is required

Required:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
• 0-3 years of related experience 
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance 

Preferred:

• A degree in electrical, electronic, and/or system preferred.
• Naval experience 

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong technical writing ability
