Overview

This position will entail over overseeing teams of EB system engineers and agile process champions. This time may include subcontracted Subject Matter Experts.

 

The supervisor candidate requires experience in requirements and systems analysis responsibilities which include overall coordination and technical management of software development activities. Responsibilities of this Supervisor position include:

  • Planning, budgeting, and assignment of complex tasks
  • Provide mentorship and employee development opportunities for the group
  • Provide opportunities for technical growth of more experienced engineers
  • Provide training and onboarding for new hires
  • Setting, and assigning measurable goals

 

In addition, the supervisor will be responsible for prioritizing workload, resource management and assignment of work; ensuring process compliance, assisting in providing software solutions, and direction and support for IT production software turnovers.

 

Lastly, this position will be responsible to promote process improvement tasks for their team as well as championing strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or Computer Information Systems
  • 4 years of leadership experience in any of the following areas: Project lead, Team Lead, Subject Matter Expert

Preferred:

  • Experience or knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Experience with Agile Collaboration Tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with Data Translation Standards such as IGES and STEP
  • Familiarity with IT CAD tools (such as Teamcenter, Catia, AutoCAD, Parasolid)
  • Developing and tracking throughput metrics
  • Software development processes
