D701 Navy Facility Engineering and Training Technologies, located at SUBASE NLON in Groton, CT is seeking a driven individual to support the Navy initiative known as Project Blue.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Management, execution, and administration of the Project Blue efforts for Electric Boat.
- Work with the Navy and EB customer to develop use cases, create associated statements of work and manage projects to completion for both the COLUMBIA and VIRGINIA programs.
- Interface very closely with the EB Digital Enterprise and Information Technology organizations to ensure the software and process requirements of Project Blue and the Navy maintainers are satisfied.
Operating in concert with multiple organizations, this individual must:
- Possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects and efforts at once; communicate clearly and concisely to all levels from individual contributors, to Vice Presidents, to US Navy Captains and Admirals
- Manage labor and fiscal budgets; and navigate the intricacies of Navy and GDEB policies.
- Have a working knowledge of submarine working papers, refit processes, as well as EBIT and IPDE functions and processes.
- Be familiar with Electric Boat systems and software such as Siemens Team Center, SPARS, Oracle, Document Databank and Lotus Notes or have a demonstrated capability and willingness to learn these programs quickly.
- Utilize design thinking while managing projects using agile and organizational change management skills.
This role involves 10-15% travel.
