The Security Professional position is an integral position working in the ever growing, Industrial Security Compliance Office (ISCO). In this position, you will be investigating classified mishandlings as well as a wide variety of duties that deal with Administrative Inquiries. You will be required to be familiar with the industrial security requirements of the 32 CFR Part 17: National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule and assist in areas where directed by supervision. Other aspects of this job are educating other departments and vendors on how to prevent classified mishandlings (i.e. provide training material, in person briefings, teleconferences).
The Security Professional will provide support to ensure full compliance with the NISPOM Rule and responsibilities will include various aspects of physical security operations including:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Learning and operating in accordance with the NISPOM Rule and the Electric Boat Security Manual.
- Ability to communicate with hourly team members, salary team members, Human Resources, and all levels of management.
- The ability to handle multiple mishandling cases at one time.
- The ability to conduct route cause analysis of all incident.
- Required by DCSA to create a clear and concise incident report, to be delivered by a certain deadline.
- The ability to work with officials from multiple government entities, government oversight agencies, industry partners, and our customers.
- Perform audits of corrective actions submitted by departments that have been found to mishandle classified information.
- Submit adverse reports for employees determined to have mishandled classified information.
- Issue Non-Disclosure Agreement forms to employees and vendors as needed.
- Responsible for briefings and training on how to properly identify and handle classified material as needed.
- This position may require travel for education purposes and as incidents dictate.
- Perform courier duties for classified
- Assisting in company sponsored events as needed.
- Collection of classified material for destruction.
- Meetings with vendors, government oversight agencies, industry partners, and our customers.
- Support for any and all Security related audits
- Assist Industry partners with Security related issues.
- At times, you may be directed to work directly with SUPSHIP and / or NRRO Security.
