The CONFORM department champions the continuous infusion of undersea warfighting capability into submarines to maintain Electric Boat's leadership position within the industry, and to ensure that U.S. submarines remain dominant in the future world of undersea warfare. This requisition is for a leadership role focused on ensuring the continued development of EB’s understanding of, and ability to predict, the future needs of the warfighter.
The Undersea Warfare Development Lead is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with key partners (e.g. ONI and UWDC), surveying current and emerging war fighting trends and technologies, supporting EB participation in key conferences and other events, and helping facilitate workshops and studies related to exploring future undersea CONOPS and capabilities. The Lead will be expected to actively use the knowledge gained from this work, and their past experiences, to provide operational context to all areas of CONFORM studies and to raise overall awareness of Navy needs and submarine relevance within the broader EB workforce.
