Overview

The Digital Enterprise (DE) Change Management Engineer will provide support to the VPM, CLB, and SSN(X) teams. This includes both managing and working on initiatives to further develop and enhance Electric Boats capability to produce change information internally to all downstream consumers as well as externally to SUPSHIP and NAVSEA.

 

The Change Management Engineer would support:

  • Assist the value stream in working on initiatives brought from across the business to enhance the change development and delivery process.
  • Drive efficiency into the Change value stream by developing and tracking tool updates/testing, processes/procedures and training.
  • Work with the Future plant studies team to develop the technical foundations for change and configuration of the VA IPMP and SSN(X) Programs
  • Assisting with Metric reporting for software Task Progress, ITCR development, and budget while targeting metric improvement areas based on implemented process/tool changes.
  • Maintain status of ITCR’s and Task’s to closure. 
  • Communicate and provide training when applicable to updated processes and software changes.
  • Supporting & coordinating business case development for new Digital Enterprise tasking improvements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or high in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Software, Industrial, Systems, Chemical, Materials or Computer Engineering
  • 0-5 years of post graduate engineering experience

Preferred:

  • Minimum 1 year Teamcenter and/or NX experience
  • Requirements development experience
  • Experience in Model Based Delivery of design information

Skills

To be successful in this position the applicant should have:

  • High level working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter and NX
  • Experience with new submarine program development and the submarine design cycle
  • Facilitation Skills: To lead brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and cross discipline discussions on different initiatives
  • Project Management Skills: Managing to established dates and schedules, as well as estimating and scheduling new task development
  • Ability to develop effective relationships
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of Digital Enterprise (DE) change processes & tools
  • Demonstrated Facilitation Skills
  • Demonstrated Project Management Skills
  • Innovative and persistent personality
