Overview

The Supply Chain & Materials Program Representative supports supply chain activities associated with all active classes of US submarines.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to program management, data management, project reporting, material availability, data analysis, scheduling, expediting closures, metrics reporting, presenting and leading stoplight discussions.

 

The position requires an individual that can interpret schedule requirements, review backlogs of data in order to find gaps in the procurement strategy and support expediting activities respective to long lead time/sequence-critical order placements, government furnished materials, and/or fixtures.

The position will entail significant interaction with various internal EB customers, including EB program office, shifts management, operations, contracts, planning departments, purchasing, finance, design, engineering, various quality departments, Newport News, shipbuilding, and EB offsite departments. It will also include interactions with government agencies such as SUPSHIP.

Candidates will be required to monitor and support resolution activities for long lead time and Sequence Critical Material (SCM) from drawing issuance through PO placements.


The responsibilities of this position may expand to other special projects as programs develop.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4+ years working in the following related fields: planning, product, production control, supply chain management
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel; VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros and graph/charts
  • Applicant must possess or be able to secure secret or higher DOD clearance

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Artemis, construction/design, MRP II or team center experience, Oracle
