About Department 472 - Reactor Plant Planning Yard
The Reactor Plant Planning Yard (RPPY) provides Engineering, Design, and Logistics life cycle support to all fleet submarines, the Moored Training Ships, and the S8G Prototype. The organization maintains technical expertise for nuclear and non-nuclear propulsion plant systems and equipment.
Our mission is to provide the US Navy five-star support that increases submarine Operational Availability and Capability.
The Electric Boat D472 Project Office forms part of the Reactor Plant Planning Yard (RPPY), Moored Training Ship Support Yard (MTSSY), and S8G Prototype Design Agent. This organization provides engineering, design, and logistics support and maintains technical expertise for nuclear and non-nuclear propulsion plant systems and equipment. Motivated engineers with strong technical and project management skills will support a variety of multi-discipline projects in the Electric Boat D472 Project Office.
Key Responsibilities
Occasional travel to the Electric Boat Quonset Point facility, the S8G Prototype, NPTU Charleston, and component vendors may be required.
