Overview

The Advance Planning candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Post Shakedown/Maintenance and Modernization networks supporting a Project’s Integrated Master Schedule. The candidate will assess individual project’s schedule performance reporting results to the Project Management Team. Regularly monitor project construction status and perform schedule changes necessary to maintain a valid and achievable network schedule. Produce network critical and controlling paths used for schedule risk assessment.  This candidate will be involved with the development of manufacturing and assembly plans, Maintenance and Modernization Master Schedules and schedule-related aspects of Electric Boat’s Earned Value Management System.  The Advance Planner is a vital team member of the Project execution team. 

 

This is a full time on-site position located in Groton, CT.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED education
  • 1+ years of experience in Planning, Trade experience or Navy experience 

Preferred:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Trades experience in EB departments 242/243 or Navy experience working directly with submarines
  • Knowledge of submarines, including general knowledge of and submarine systems (purpose and operation)
  • Possess experience and knowledge of the requirements for successfully integrating Test and Ship’s Force requirements into ships’ schedules is highly desirable
  • Knowledge and experience with the Virginia Class Integrated Management and Control System and Earned Value Management System
  • An understanding of  Project Management Software
  • Use of Planning Software, predominately ARTEMIS and EWP
