This position supports the two Managers of VIRGINIA and COLUMBIA class Nuclear Ship’s Management and the Manager of Nuclear Test Operations.
The candidate is responsible for the overall administrative functions of these three key and distinct Shipyard waterfront organizations. This position requires an individual with excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task in a high-paced team environment across multiple departments. The candidate will be required to interface with all levels of Electric Boat Management and external organizations (e.g., Supervisor of Shipbuilding, NAVSEA). May be required to support as a member of the Radiological Emergency Response Organization (RERO).
The candidate is expected to perform the following administrative duties:
- Work within the MS Office suite of applications to develop internal / external correspondence, EB Memorandums and department presentations.
- Maintain standard Department-level documents (e.g., organizational charts, personnel records, weekly commitment reports).
- Administer and track NUC Commitments in the Management Commitment Database, with the ability to initiate / close DPT and SAA
- Prepare Shipyard Visit Requests, coordinate employee travel arrangements and submit corresponding expense
- Manage Outlook calendars, department-level meetings and associated conference rooms.
- Facilitate personnel on-boarding, severance and retirement preparations.
- Maintain department purchases, expenses and supply orders through standard requisition systems (e.g., Guy Brown, Oracle, P-card).
- Initiate, coordinate, and track facilities tickets and IT telecommunications requests
- Support development and sustainment of D276 electronic storage configuration and website.
