D476 Groton COLUMBIA Construction Support Engineering is seeking highly motivated engineers to work hands on solving deckplate issues. With the primary responsibility of proactively supporting COLUMBIA Class construction efforts in the Groton shipyard, the Construction Support Engineering team provides direct support to the shipyard trades and support organizations to ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous completion of construction activities in a manner that results in delivery of ships consistent with the design intent. Construction Support Engineering is also responsible for supporting sea trials. Engineers will interface with Operations, Ship's Management, Planning, Design and Engineering, Supervisor of Shipbuilding (SUPSHIP), and PMS397 to act as the primary engineering interface for the Groton shipyard as the COLUMBIA Waterfront engineering organization grows.
