Overview

There’s never been a better time to join the shipbuilding industry. As demand for cutting-edge naval technology grows, General Dynamics Electric Boat is at the forefront—designing, building, and maintaining the most advanced submarines in the world. Our work is mission-critical, supporting the U.S. Navy and strengthening national security.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Analyst to join our dynamic team at the Moored Training Ship Support (MTSSY) site office located at the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Training Command (NNPTC) in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

This is an opportunity to directly support national defense by ensuring efficient, accurate, and secure management of mission-critical materials essential to the NNPTC training mission.

As a Logistics Analyst, you’ll be responsible for operating the storefront, maintain stock levels, and ensuring material availability across the command. You’ll support a broad range of logistics functions that keep NNPTC operations mission-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the storefront and maintain accurate stock levels to ensure timely material availability
  • Perform material management, procurement, and customer service functions
  • Safely operate forklifts, trucks, and pallet-moving equipment
  • Serve as the HAZMAT/HAZWASTE Coordinator, ensuring only approved materials are procured, stored, and disposed of in accordance with Joint Base Charleston and Navy requirements
  • Conduct required inspections and provided HAZMAT indoctrination training
  • Act as the NNPTC Vehicle Control Officer, managing all command government vehicles in compliance with JBC and Navy instructions
  • Ensure vehicle availability in support of NNPTC operations.
  • Provide off-hours material support one week per quarter
  • Collaborate independently with government, civilian, and contractor organizations to meet goals, deadlines, and mission requirements

The ideal candidate will be well versed in material management, procurement, and customer service, with the ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
