Overview

Are you a visual storyteller?  If your passion is driving stakeholder engagement through the creation and delivery of dynamic, effective visual communications, to convey information, we want to hear from you!

The D405 Digital Enterprise (DE) Organization is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented visual communication designer to join our Communication Team. You will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic communication plans that foster positive relationships with key stakeholders in driving our Digital Enterprise Vision for current and future class submarines.

The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Craft compelling visual pitches that engage stakeholders, drive awareness and positive perception around Electric Boat’s Digital Enterprise initiatives, and support organizational culture change 
  • Design and produce visual communication elements across various mediums that support key objectives of the Digital Enterprise’s communication strategy
  • Ensure brand consistency across all Digital Enterprise visual content, including but not limited to, logos, illustrations, graphics, animated graphics, PowerPoint presentations, and layouts.
  • Consult and support Digital Enterprise Communication Lead with communication initiatives

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design
  • Minimum 2 years of graphic design or visual communication design work
  • Experience with Adobe Design Suite (Photo shop, Illustrator in Design, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects)
  • Required to obtain / maintain an active security clearance

 

Preferred:

  • Experienced command knowledge of PowerPoint
  • Defense Industry Experience: Experience driving communication initiatives within the Defense Industry

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of how people perceive visual information to design effective and engaging visuals
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Strong understanding of perception and brand management visual tactics
  • Creatively translates complex ideas into dynamic visuals
  • Advanced experience with PowerPoint for creative marketing pitches
