Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to serve as a Benefits & Wellness Specialist. This hybrid role combines responsibilities in employee benefits with wellness program development to support our diverse workforce. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise in the employee benefits area and creativity in fostering a culture of well-being across our growing manufacturing population.

 

Benefits Administration (Approx. 50%)

 

  • Serve as a contact for employees on health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, and voluntary benefit programs.
  • Support the annual enrollment process, including material editing, building presentations, system testing, employee briefings, and vendor coordination.
  • Support daily tasks such as FMLA/STD/LTD notice processing, responding to employee inquiries via email, phone and in person.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries, issue resolution, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with vendors to monitor service levels and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support benefit focused initiatives as assigned.

 

Wellness Coordination (Approx. 50%)

  • Plan and deliver on-site wellness events, including annual health fairs, screenings, and educational sessions. Partner with internal stakeholders and wellness vendors to drive participation and engagement.
  • Track participation, analyze wellness program effectiveness, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with RI Blood Center for on-site blood drives
  • Maintain YMCA relationship and weekly processing of applications and file feeds.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 3+ experience in benefits administration, wellness programming, or a related HR function. (Compensation, Employee relations, TA/recruiting, DEI, and HRIS.)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience with employee benefits programs and compliance requirements.

Skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Suite products.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage employees across all levels.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
