The Security Technology & Protections Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and compliance oversight of physical security systems and protections across company facilities. This role ensures that electric boats, security systems and protective measures meet regulatory, contractual, and organizational requirements while supporting operational needs and risk mitigation efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain physical security technologies including access control systems, video surveillance (CCTV), Intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, turnstiles, other protective measures.
- Support the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of security systems for new and existing facilities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable DoD, NISPOM, ICD, DCSA, and company physical security requirements, as applicable.
- Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and systems evaluations to determine appropriate protection levels based on facility function, information sensitivity, and assets.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including system diagrams, SOPs, policies, procedures, and protection plans.
- Coordinate with IT, Facilities, Engineering, and external vendors to support system integration and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance and investigate security incidents, alarms, and system anomalies, recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Support audits, inspections and compliance reviews by internal and external authorities.
- Provide technical guidance and training to security personnel and end users on security systems and procedures.
- Assist with lifecycle management, and procurement of security technologies and protection equipment.
