The position of Administrative Clerk – Locksmith in the Security Department handles several administrative and security related tasks.
This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Filling Key Requests.
- Cutting new or replacement keys and coordinating emergency lock repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of locks, new installations and repairs.
- Uses and maintains adequate inventory of parts, locksmith supplies, tools and equipment.
- Classified Repository Management including establishing and dis-establishing safes.
- X-Series and Cypher Lock combo changes.
- S & G lock combo changes.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Individual must possess excellent organization skills and ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external customers for security policies and procedures as it pertains to the locksmith role.
- Ability to work independently and make conscious decisions in a high volume environment.
This position is a represented hourly, so the individual will be required to join the Metal Trades Council (MTC).
Other related duties will be assigned as required.
