The primary duties and responsibilities of a painter in Plant Services consists of, but not limited to the below painting tasks that may consist of the following conditions;

• Must be able to prepare the surfaces of various building surfaces and apply a variety of paints and finishes.
• Must have painting experience in the building and renovation field in a commercial or residential work environment.
• Candidates must be able to sandblast, use pneumatic tools, roller, brush and spray paint. 
• Candidates must be able to perform strenuous tasks for long durations.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and elevated areas. 
• Must be able to obtain respiratory qualifications and maintain them.
• Willing to travel to support off-site work. 
• Must be able to work all shifts necessary to support special events.
• Must be able to work painting preparations to support Christening ceremonies. 
• Must be able to work alone.

Required:

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED OR 2 years of technical experience
• 5+ years painting experience in the building and renovation field in a commercial and/or residential work environment.

Preferred:

• 10+ years of painting experience in the building and renovation field in a commercial and/or residential work environment.

• Strong safety performance track.
• Strong cooperations skills and being a team player.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Being a self starter and capable of working alone.
