This position is for the TRIDENT Site in Bangor, WA.

 

Role Overview

The Program Representative will provide direct support to the Site Engineering Manager for ensuring accomplishment of established program goals, to include cost control, strategic planning & scheduling, and execution of projects for various Navy customers.  The position will work with various Groton and offsite offices for budgeting, obtaining new work, estimating contract changes, procurement, etc. 

 

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the COLUMBIA program and it's sustainment efforts.
  • Manage various projects at Trident Refit Facility, Bangor and at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
  • Interface with Groton management of equivalent functions, with PSNS and TRF Bangor project offices and contract representatives, and with various NAVSEA Program Offices.
  • Additional tasked projects and duties as required. 

The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project are is essential. Candidate should be familiar with or willing to learn Electric Boat systems and software such as SPARS, Oracle, Document Databank or willing to learn these programs quickly.  Candidate must be willing to travel and to accept extended work assignments, if required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's of Science degree (retired Navy Submariner will satisfy this requirement)
  • 10+ years related professional project management experience
  • Prior submarine operating experience
  • Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance through the DoD

Preferred

  • Prior experience working in Naval Shipyard environment
  • Experience working in a planning yard, engineering office, or program office
  • Active Secret security clearance

Skills

  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral. 
  • Ability to navigate and use business support systems, in particular strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of EB Design, Engineering and Program areas to enable seamless reach-back to Groton for SME
    support
