Program Representative: Supplied Material Expediting Team
General Dynamics Electric Boat continues to expand its support of critical programs, and internal talent plays a key role in meeting those commitments. The Supplied Material Expediting Team is seeking motivated employees who want to strengthen their impact on schedule performance, supplier execution, and cross‑functional coordination.
This role is ideal for individuals who understand EB’s Supply Chain and Production environment and are looking to broaden their visibility across Purchasing, Engineering, Planning, Production, and Program teams. As a Materials Expediter, you will help ensure material availability and supplier performance by identifying issues early, coordinating resolutions, and driving actions that support program objectives.
In this newly created position, you will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of purchased materials by working directly with suppliers and purchasing to track order status, resolve delays, and partnering closely with key internal stakeholders to eliminate roadblocks in the supply base. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on our ability to meet schedule commitments and maintain production flow.

***This position is currently based out of our East Greenwich, RI and Kings Highway (Groton, CT) facilities. It will be transitioning to our new facility in Waterford, CT when it is ready.
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred Requirements:
3+ years experience in supply chain, purchasing, material availability, planning, manufacturing, program office or production support
Familiarity with EB procurement processes, material movement workflows, and schedule‑driven environments
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working across multiple departments and with external suppliers
Demonstrated ability to analyze data, assess risks, and take initiative to resolve issues
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting program needs
Experience working with enterprise systems such as MRP/ERP tools, project dashboards, or supplier‑tracking systems
Comfort with travel to supplier locations
Prior exposure to problem‑solving or root‑cause analysis (e.g., issue logs, corrective action processes)
