Overview

This position resides in the HRIS group within the Human Resources Business Operations Organization. This group is responsible for maintaining the core HR systems used across Electric Boat (Peoplesoft, iCIMS and Cornerstone). This job is centered on maintaining configurations, data and process management, and governance within those systems. The role will work closely with the HR centers of excellence (Talent Acquisition, Workforce Development, Compensation and HR Business Partners), as well as EB IT, Payroll and GD Corporate to develop and execute system enhancements, fixes, and basic maintenance. The preferred candidate has experience with HR systems, both from a system infrastructure and end-user angle, and the learning agility to expand that knowledge to new systems.

 

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Maintain system configurations and security in HR applications
  • Develop and execute reports to provide data to customers upon request and support business dashboard efforts
  • Partner within EB to ensure system integrations and basic system functionalities work properly and that data is moving accurately between applications
  • Contribute to health checks and the internal auditing of HR systems, data and activity
  • Collaborate on enhancement projects with the HR centers of excellence
  • Ensure all HR system users have the knowledge and guidance to do their work in an accurate, efficient and streamlined manner
  • Support, execute and validate data imports, migrations and maintenance
  • Work with vendors to resolve issues and implement updates
  • Lead the governance of these systems in partnership with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures
  • Work with EB IT and GD Corporate to integrate systems and processes
  • Administer roles and access to HR systems
  • Help organize and maintain HR system security structure and definitions
  • Perform investigation, problem solving and error resolution when issues arise in HR systems and system integrations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree or higher or 2 years of equivalent work experience
  • Technical skills: Experience scripting and generating reports (SQL, PS Query, Excel, Power BI)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience participating in and/or leading projects
  • Experience with HR and or information systems
