General Dynamics Electric Boat, the nation's premier designer and builder in nuclear submarines, is seeking Alternate Shift Welding Equipment Repair Technicians.
The role of an Alternate Shift Welding Equipment Repair Technician is to perform routine preventative maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Alternate work week is three 12- hour shifts from Friday-Sunday (Full Time).

Responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in welding machines and associated equipment
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor hours
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Collaborate with the Direct Planner and other team members to ensure timely and efficient maintenance and repair schedules
- Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed for maintenance and repairs
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and provide technical support and training to staff on proper use and maintenance of welding equipment
This position follows an alternative work week schedule, working three 12-hour shifts from Friday – Sunday at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.
