The Quonset Point Facilities Department is seeking a Program Representative to provide direct oversight of facility vendors who repair, maintain, and make improvements to Process Gas infrastructure (Compressed Air, Argon, Oxygen, Propane, Etc.) This position also provides response subject matter expertise to all emergent situations as required.

  • Candidate should be familiar with the functionality of Large Compressor Plants
  • Candidates will work with Shift Supervision to plan and coordinate all vendor work. Candidates will provide input toward the efforts of planning, budgeting, and prioritization of all work.
  • A high degree of knowledge and experience in all facets of vendor oversight and facility management is required
  • A thorough understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, building codes, etc. is required
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills will be necessary to interact with all levels of site leadership
  • Independent decision making is required

The successful candidate must be self-motivating, be able to work independently, possess good written and oral communications skills, maintain a questioning attitude, as well as be proficient technically with a willingness to continuously learn. 

 

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI location.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in facility construction, engineering, or maintenance of mechanical systems 
  • Available to work all shifts, including extended hours, weekends or holidays as business needs dictate

Preferred:

  • Pipefitter License
  • Project Management or Facilities Management certification 
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
  • Experience working with process gas systems (Compressed Air, Argon, Oxygen, Propane, etc.)
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or shipyard environment
  • Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs
  • Navy/military
