Integrated Power Systems (IPS) Engineering is seeking a self-driven, highly motivated Program Representative to join our diverse team of professionals.

 

The selected candidate will provide programmatic and technical oversight of Northrop Grumman, with primary focus on the COLUMBIA Class Turbine Generator, throughout various stages of manufacturing, testing, and delivery. This role offers strong career growth potential, especially for individuals aspiring to leadership roles or seeking experience in a unique manufacturing and test environment.

 

Responsibilities
The Program Representative will support both programmatic and technical activities, including:

  • Oversight of complex machining, assembly, and test operations
  • Daily communication with supplier engineering, operations, quality, and program personnel to identify and mitigate schedule or technical risks
  • Coordination with the Electric Boat Turbine Generator engineering team to develop courses of action addressing production deficiencies and technical challenges
  • Performing detailed schedule reviews, identifying schedule conflicts, and supporting schedule acceleration opportunities
  • Working closely with the supplier to ensure schedule adherence and recovery efforts as needed
  • Assisting in the development of independent schedules for problem resolution or test issues
  • Collaborating with supplier manufacturing, program, quality, and engineering leadership to drive site efficiencies, continuous improvement, and lessons learned
  • Reviewing new or revised supplier manufacturing instructions prior to their initial use
  • Participating in First Time Process Reviews (FTPRs) and Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs)
  • Supporting and collaborating on root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives
  • Participation in job debriefs and lessons-learned reviews
  • Direct reporting to the Electric Boat Program Supervisor located in Sunnyvale

This role will interface closely with the Supplier, sub-tier vendors, and Naval Reactors.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant post-graduate experience demonstrating candidate has:
    • Built and maintained strong customer relationships to support program objectives.
    • Worked with and managed supplier production of components, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
    • Tracked and reported work status, identifying risks and driving corrective actions.
    • Led performance and delivery goals by coordinating cross-functional teams and resolving issues quickly.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military experience or 1+ years of experience in construction trades, engineering, design, test, planning, design-build-sustain, or a demonstrated leadership role
  • Component development and vendor management experience
  • Electric Boat shipyard experience (construction, test, certification, etc.)
  • Program management experience
  • Experience working with NAVSEA
