Detail Planning is seeking motivated, forward‑thinking candidates to join the Subsea and Seabed Warfare (SSW) and Virginia Class Integrated Technical/Build Authority team in New London.

This team will collaborate closely with Advanced Planning, Design Build, QP Industrial Engineering, and Design & Engineering to develop accurate work instruction product structures. Members will also contribute to the creation of new planning processes and procedures that will form the foundation for both SSW and SSNX programs.

The central focus of the role is to re-establish a robust Planning Pre‑Start process. This process ensures product structures are accurately defined and provides Operations with the information needed to execute construction efficiently while meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong collaboration skills, comfort working with diverse teams, and the ability to facilitate discussions during pre‑start meetings. This position offers the opportunity to gain broad knowledge of the ship system architecture and build strong networks across the company.

Responsibilities include:

• Define accurate product structure for new disclosures within the assigned discipline using the NX/TeamCenter toolset.
• Coordinate and lead Planning Pre‑Start meetings for all disclosures within the discipline, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
• Partner with Industrial Engineering to refine and enhance the construction build plan.
• Collaborate with Design Build Sustain (DBS) Teams to ensure first‑time quality and integration across design and build functions.
• Work with Operations and Planning teams at Quonset Point and Groton to gather, review, and adjudicate customer feedback.
• Represent the Planning organization professionally during Construction Readiness, Process Improvement, and Program Review meetings.
  
• Participate in the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of new planning processes and procedures.

This is an onsite position Monday - Friday 6AM -2:30PM located in New London, CT.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in planning or manufacturing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred:

• 2+ years of Detail Planning experience at Electric Boat
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
• Completion of vocational, technical, community college, or apprentice programs
