As the on-site security professional for Special Programs, daily duties include execution of Security Compliance responsibilities and functions from Industrial Security management, Physical Security (PhySec), experience of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and providing general security support and guidance over tasks under the special programs portfolio.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Candidate must have strong communication skills to work with parties both within and outside of the security organization which includes project leadership, customer as well as support vendors and suppliers to provide security guidance.
- This position supports fast-paced, high-profile program(s) under the special program portfolio in secure environments.
- Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), NISPOM Supplement, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) manuals.
- Develop and implement a Security Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Emergency Action Plan (EAP), Security Transportation and Test plans.
- Maintain and update accurate document / media control records and program asset accountability through a data library.
- Investigate Security violations, incidents and infractions. Prepare report of findings and specifying preventive action, lessons learned and submit to customer oversight.
- General security knowledge of personnel security clearance management and awareness of Government databases such as DISS.
- Candidate with general knowledge to process Personnel Access Requests (PARs) and Visit Authorization Forms (VARs).
- Assist with meeting preparation, visitor badging and verify clearances. Interact with DoD and other government representatives on matters related to protecting and handling of classified material.
- Provide Foreign travel briefings (Pre and Post)
- Physical Security (PhySec) responsibilities include managing the UL2050 certified alarm system, containers, access and key control policies, implementing best security practices and procedures.
- Conduct annual inventories and security review of accountable material for 100% accuracy.
- Support IA/IT Security personnel using approved risk-managed security processes.
- Candidate to have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work and collaborate with others as well as independent and self-starter.
- Organized and efficient at time management with focus on first time quality.
- Administer and maintain an effective security education / training and awareness program.
- Provide security escort duties for maintenance, facilities, fire and security plant protection personnel
- Have strong presentation skills to perform security indoctrination briefings, and annual refresher training events.
